Q: “What about a younger generation? Other than Scott Hamilton, you must run across people as you travel around that are maybe in their twenties and would maybe come up to you and know that music well…”

A: “Yeah. I do in different parts of places. Sometimes, I hear you guys that you’ll come up and, maybe if I'm doing a concert; invite me by some place they’ll be playing. But you know, most of the younger musicians in the Coltrane vein, you know, that’s what he passed ... they start, and you'd see a lot of that the players wanted to play like him, you know.”
