Activities Introduction

In the following downloadable documents, you will find suggestions for curriculum-relevant, age-appropriate activities and projects that incorporate use of the rich variety of audio, visual and textual resources contained on the Canadian Jazz Archive Online site.

Simply click on the relevant grade level to download activities for Listening, Research & Critical Response and Creative Expression. We have also provided a Listening Response Form that can be downloaded, printed and handed out to students to guide their listening experience.

Note that these suggestions are by no means an exhaustive list of how you can use the Archive as a learning and teaching tool for your students - we encourage you to experiment and be creative with the material contained on the site. If you have any suggestions for activities not listed here or feedback of any kind, we would welcome your input!
