WILLIAM (BILLY) McCANT was born on March 18, 1939, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He was the percussionist with the Casa Loma Jazz Band when they appeared during the “Sound of Toronto Jazz” Concert Series at the Ontario Science Centre on December 19, 1977.
